![]() Thanks for the encouragement and the tips. But this is up to your taste, and it is also cost-benefit performance matter. ![]() Using VSTi xml has almost the same function of "Edit Library" and "Instruments/Define". I don't like to read the manuals during I'm composing, but at the same time I can hardly commit their keyswitches and controllers to memory. Maybe you may change your thought about VSTi xml. I myself rarely use hidden tracks for that purpose, though. Most users who are using it with DAW software use multiple MIDI tracks for one instrument to make it sound real. The most open-and-shut technique is always to use hidden tracks. LIVE mode uses controllers and keyswitches at frequent intervals, and STACK mode uses keys which differ from actual pitch. Trillian has a lot of articulations, such as mute, slide, mute slide, gliss up, true staccato, mute true staccato. You may feel Trillian is too complex to use with Overture or other notation softwares. If you have these problems at Day 1, believe Overture and doubt various setteings coolly. It will be caused by audio channel selection, MIDI channel selection, MIDI volume, and Audio I/F settings, etc. Poping and clicking noise will be solved by adjusting its audio settings, mainly HDD streaming settings. You may have a trouble like poping, clicking noise and no sound. etc.ĭoes anyone have any general usage tips for such a stand-alone/VSTi module? I think you have made a wise investment! I don't have any specific pointers for you just enouragement at the moment. I don't use any of my libraries in standalone so I can't help you there.but before my new hardware setup I used Atmosphere within Overture's VST rack and it worked like a charm for me. ![]() Spectrasonics makes utterly fantastic finitely drool worthy.I want it all. I have Omnisphere, Stylus RMX and all expnasions as well as Trilogy not to mention other libraries from Spectrasonics. Hey Mike! YOu should be excited! I am definitely going to get Trillian but I am settling for EW Hollywood Strings for now. Now I'm interested and will look more alive, I assure you. I have read other peoples woes over EWQL, LSO, Miroslav, etc. It does come with its' own player, the STEAM engine, if that gives any clues. I won't know how the articulation implementation is set up for a few days, so I will need to tape a napkin beneath my lower lip until then.ĭoes anyone have any general usage tips for such a stand-alone/VSTi module? It will be my first because I'm hooked on hardware synths. I don't think it will benefit from or require an XML articulation implementation from within Overture, but I have to ask.
